I came across a frustrating lighting problem during a recent product shoot. My lighting setup was unable to deliver sufficient illumination to the underside of the product and adding addition studio lights or reflectors wasn't working.
I was unhappy with the darkness underneath the bracelet and needed a better solution
using this device I was able to add some subtle lighting underneath the subject
And with a quick trip into Photoshop to remove the flash dome, this is the result
This video shows what I came up with to solve the problem. It turns out to be a hugely helpful creative tool for all kinds of macro photography. Costing about $3 and taking less than 10 minutes to make, this flash adapter is something you absolutely need to try.
